# Next Layer: Romania’s first AM-dedicated show

On October 31, 2025, the Paris Hall of Novotel Bucharest will host the inaugural edition of the Next Layer Additive Manufacturing Show - a groundbreaking event for Romania’s growing 3D printing ecosystem. Organized by 3DinBox.ro, with the support of VoxelMatters and mobility partner Blue, Next Layer aims to do more than simply showcase machines and materials: it intends to catalyze a new phase of growth for the region’s additive manufacturing (AM) industry.

Built on the strong foundation of [3D InBox - a reseller, service provider, and community hub](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/3d-inbox/) for the local AM industry - the event is positioned as both a professional conference and a cultural gathering, and will blend knowledge, education, networking, and festival-like experiences to attract a wide range of participants - from engineers and industrial leaders to designers and entrepreneurs.

## A platform for vision and innovation

Next Layer is the first Romanian event platform fully dedicated to vision and innovation in 3D printing technology, built around the idea that AM is not just transforming products, but entire industries and cultural practices.

Globally, 3D printing has become a production-ready technology across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical, consumer goods, and high-end design. Yet, in Romania and much of Eastern Europe, the community remains fragmented, with fewer opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange. By creating a platform that combines international expertise with local entrepreneurship, Next Layer seeks to close that gap.

"Next Layer is a project I’ve been thinking about for over a year, but I felt now was the right time to launch it," said Andrei Murariu, Founder of 3DinBox. "It is the first event of its kind in Romania, fully dedicated to the 3D printing industry, and I believe it represents an important step for additive manufacturing in our country.”

## Global leaders meet local pioneers

The event will feature a lineup that bridges Romania’s emerging ecosystem with some of the most recognized international figures in AM.

- Davide Sher (Italy), Co-founder and CEO of [VoxelMatters](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/3dpbm/), a leading global media and market intelligence platform for AM. With over two decades of experience in technology journalism, Sher is one of the most respected voices connecting innovation to business opportunities in the 3D printing world.
- Paweł Ślusarczyk (Poland), Customer Success Manager at [Bambu Lab](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/bambu-lab/) for Central Europe, and founder of Poland’s largest 3D printing media platform. His background includes co-creating the country’s first bioprinter and developing a novel biodegradable filament from wheat bran.
- Manuel Jiménez García (Spain), Co-founder of [Nagami](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/nagami/), a pioneering studio in robotic and large-scale 3D printing for design and architecture. His work includes iconic projects such as the Voxel Chair (Centre Pompidou) and collaborations with Zaha Hadid Architects. He also directs the MSc/MRes in Architectural Computation at UCL Bartlett, merging academic research with real-world impact.
- Neha Sharma (Switzerland), Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder of POC APP AG, a Swiss MedTech startup enabling hospitals to achieve MDR-compliant point-of-care manufacturing. A surgeon, biomedical engineer, and digital health entrepreneur, he led the implementation of Switzerland’s first 3D-printed personalized implants at the point of care and is recognized as a leading voice in surgical innovation and medical additive manufacturing.

They will be joined by Romanian experts shaping the local industry:

- Călin Gruia (Plastic3D), founder of one of Romania’s most-followed 3D printing communities, known for his honest, hands-on perspective and ability to communicate the full learning curve of AM—from failures to breakthroughs.
- Alfred Cristian Koczynski ([Epic Crafting](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/epic-crafting/)), an entrepreneur building premium filament production and offering scanning and printing services, while connecting with audiences through social media transparency.
- Roxana Hurducaș, a brand strategy advisor with nearly two decades of experience, including more than ten years as Marketing & Communications Director at FAN Courier. She now helps companies define their identity and global positioning.

The program will be moderated by Marian Andrei, journalist and TV host of iLikeIT on PRO TV, ensuring the sessions remain both accessible and engaging across technical and creative domains.

## What to expect

The day-long event begins with registration and welcome coffee at 10:00 AM, followed by presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities that run throughout the afternoon. Beyond formal talks, attendees can expect live demonstrations that bring the transformative power of 3D printing to life.

From panels with global experts to hands-on workshops, the goal is to create a dynamic and modern format that mirrors the rapid pace of technological innovation. “From the beginning, I wanted Next Layer to be more than just an informative event—it should be an experience, in a modern and dynamic format that reflects the pace at which technology evolves,” said Murariu. “This project is designed for entrepreneurs, companies, as well as enthusiasts—anyone who wants to understand how 3D printing can be integrated into existing processes or even completely transform the way we make things. Next Layer means education, networking, and a step forward for Romania’s AM community.”

For local entrepreneurs and companies, this is a rare opportunity to connect with world-class leaders without leaving Romania. For international participants, it’s a chance to tap into a market on the cusp of transformation.

By merging international expertise with local energy, the event promises to inspire, educate, and catalyze collaboration. Whether you’re an engineer, designer, entrepreneur, or simply curious about the future of making, Next Layer is designed to give you both knowledge and community.
