Nexa3D partners with CREAT3D to support British AM industry

To help British manufacturers reduce lead times, cut costs and reach their full manufacturing potential, Nexa3D has partnered with CREAT3D, an end-to-end additive manufacturing (AM) solutions provider. The collaboration provides CREAT3D’s customers with the opportunity to improve their competitiveness by purchasing Nexa3D’s market-leading technology. New generation print and engineering bureauPAKT3D, for example, has already seen the high-speed benefits of an NXE400 system.
CREAT3D works in partnership with its customers to provide streamline and efficient manufacturing, design and engineering AM processes. It gives its customers independent advice based on their needs, with the additional benefit of extensive sector knowledge. CREAT3D provides bespoke training packages, installation services, and maintenance plans to ensure systems are running efficiently throughout their lifetime. Its values match Nexa3D’s understanding of the positive impact AM technology can have on the manufacturing industry, by offering high-productivity and high-quality solutions.

As a partner, CREAT3D now supplies Nexa3D’s revolutionary patented lubricant sublayer photo-curing (LSPc) 3D printer, the NXE400. The system has an unprecedented 16-liter build volume and can reach top speeds of 1 cm per minute, providing its customers with the space to manufacture large components and the speed to meet demand.
One of CREAT3D’s clients, ultrafast AM provider PAKT3D, has already benefitted from Nexa3D technologies. PAKT3D offers customers production volumes of parts, prototyping, and the ability to print composite and injection mold tools. The company specializes in rapid manufacturing because it primarily works with customers who require immediate design feedback or need products to get to market.

One of PAKT3D’s standout projects was producing a bottom downtube guard bracket for ARBR Bikes, a UK specialist manufacturer of handcrafted performance bicycles. The manufacturer previously produced the part using an Ultem mold tool, which was costly and time-consuming, so they adapted the design for an NXE400. By using the equipment, ARBR Bikes was able to reduce part production time from two days to six hours. PAKT3D now supplies 3D printed chain guides and rear swingarm chainstay protectors to this customer and plans on continuing to use the NXE400 to produce rapid and high-quality products.
