Following on from the purchase last year of a substantial industrial property directly adjacent to the Leicestershire HQ, Matsuura UK will open its new Matsuura Additive Manufacturing Centre to the public for the first time at an exclusive launch event, set to take place on dates 10th, 11th and 12th of May 2022.

The additional premises, covering 1 acre, possesses 11,500 square feet of space, consisting of a large showroom, substantial office space, stores and loading bay. The Matsuura Additive Manufacturing Centre building has been completely refurbished, and substantial infrastructure installed to accommodate the full range of our 3D printing portfolio from LUMEX, HP, Desktop Metal, ETEC and DyeMansion. Matsuura UK aims to be the only AM center of excellence in the UK where you can see the entire workflow experience in any material – from concept to component, in one venue, live.

Speaking of this important milestone for Matsuura UK, Managing Director Roger Howkins stated, “This investment is in recognition of our phenomenal growth in AM over the past 3 years and reflects our projected future success in the important and expanding 3D manufacturing sector. We are confident that our new state-of-the-art facility, & growing and experienced AM Team, will continue to excel in serving our present and future customer base. It is our business model of investing in our people and infrastructure that deliver total customer care that has bought this prolonged success to Matsuura – both in Additive Manufacturing & our CNC products”

Matsuura Machinery UK is not just a subsidiary of the Japanese machine tool and LUMEX metal 3D printers manufacturer but also a major distributor of several other systems including HP MJF technology and, following a recent deal signed with Desktop Metal, also the ETEC and Desktop Metal Group brands of products.
