Additive Academy is a new training and education initiative created to bring cutting edge and comprehensive additive manufacturing and 3D printing training from across the globe on one platform to the vibrant 3D printing market in India.

“India will gain true industrial independence only if manufacturing comes to India along with its technological know-how,” said Indian 3D Printing Network Co-founder Aditya Chandavarkar. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made this abundantly clear to the Indian Industry. Extending this aim of an Atmanirbhar Bharat to the Indian 3D Printing Industry, Indian 3D Printing Network is happy to launch the Additive Academy!”

In his speech on Atmanirbhar Bharat on May 12th, 2020, India PM Modi recited this shloka from the Manusmriti:

सर्वं परवशं दुःखं सर्वम् आत्मवशं सुखम्

Reliance on others causes pain. Self-reliance and control with oneself are the keys to eternal success & happiness.

Bringing in cutting edge technology to India to make it technologically independent entails bringing in the necessary technical education and training along with it, for the technical and management population of India (including the employed as well as those currently getting an education).

Additive AcademyThe pandemic is indeed an opportunity in disguise for many, as upgrading one’s knowledge and gaining access to new training and courses has become possible. “To ensure quality, we have partnered with The Barnes Global Advisors – a leading consulting and training group based in the US with experts bringing combined Additive Manufacturing expertise of 130+ years,”  Chandavarkar explained. “With this partnership, we bring on board Additive Manufacturing courses from one of the best known technological institutes there is – Purdue University, at a competitive cost for the Indian Market only available for enrollment through the Additive Academy.”

Launching with 3 courses from Purdue University for engineers managers and business professionals, Additive Academy will bring in more courses through various channels including industrial training, internships and much more. The first three courses are: Additive Manufacturing for Engineers and Managers (Level 1 Certificate, Essentials | Technology & Materials | Design), Additive Manufacturing for Business Professionals (Level 1 Certificate Essentials | Technology & Materials | Business & Economics) and Additive Manufacturing Certificate (Level 1 Certificate with Honors, Essentials | Technology & Materials | Design | Business & Economics).
