Growing demand from industrial customers has prompted Nanoscribe to expand its manufacturing capabilities for five of its most widely used photoresins: IP-Dip2, IP-S, IPX-Q, IPX-S, and IPX-Clear.

The Karlsruhe-based company, a pioneer in two-photon polymerization (2PP)-based additive manufacturing, stated that all five materials are now produced to industrial-grade quality standards. Resin names, chemical compositions, handling procedures, and printing parameters remain unchanged, preserving continuity for existing users.

The move reflects a broader shift in Nanoscribe’s customer base. In 2025, one in every three systems the company sold went to an industrial buyer, with optics manufacturing and photonics packaging identified as primary growth sectors.

“The five key photoresins are already used in a wide range of applications and markets,” said Dr. Alexander Quick, Head of Materials at Nanoscribe. “Our investment in expanded manufacturing capacity supports industrial-grade material quality while maintaining material properties and established customer workflows. This benefits customers from both academia and industry.”

As a secondary measure to support production environments, Nanoscribe now offers batch-specific Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for the five upgraded resins. Each certificate is produced by an independent external service provider and documents measured material data, as well as compliance with specified standards.

The documentation is intended for customers who require batch-level traceability in purchasing, incoming inspection, or internal quality management processes.

“As more customers move 2PP-based microfabrication into production, access to batch-specific material records becomes increasingly relevant,” explained Dr. Jan Szabados, Product Manager at Nanoscribe.

“Our Certificates of Analysis, based on independent, external measurements, provide reliable documentation where it is needed.”

The enhanced manufacturing processes and CoA availability apply to IP-Dip2, IP-S, IPX-Q, IPX-S, and IPX-Clear.
