Mintion releases external filtration unit for enclosed 3D printers
The V1 uses a three-stage filter stack targeting both ultrafine particles and VOCs, with native support for Bambu Lab machines and a community connector library for other enclosures

Mintion, a young Chinese company specializing in 3D printer accessories, has released the 3D Printer Filtration System V1, an external air filtration unit designed to reduce particle and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from desktop FFF printers. The unit is priced at €65.95 ($71) and is available now.
The company conducted internal tests using a Bambu Lab P1S with an MT15 air quality monitor placed inside the printer chamber, logging PM1.0, PM2.5, and TVOC readings every 5 minutes during 1–1.5-hour print jobs using PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA filaments. Test results reportedly showed lower and more stable particle and TVOC curves when the V1 was running at 35–50% fan power compared to unfiltered baseline runs.
The carbon bed is sized specifically for VOC-heavy materials: Mintion notes that styrene from ABS/ASA and caprolactam from nylon are the primary targets and offers an alternative filter stacking order—substituting a second activated carbon stage for the pre-filter—for users printing predominantly with those materials.
Mintion estimates a filter set life of approximately three months under roughly eight hours of daily use with general-purpose filaments. Replacement filter sets are sold separately. The company maintains a downloadable connector library for additional printer models.
