Ziknes has become the first official integrator of the Meltio Engine for metal additive manufacturing with robotic arms in Spain and Portugal. This agreement was achieved with the help of Sicnova, Meltio’s official sales partner in the Iberian Peninsula.
Meltio is also expanding outside Europe: Máquinas e Soluções is going to play a key role in the distribution and support of the Meltio metal 3D printing solutions in the Brazilian market, as an official sales partner. Máquinas e Soluções will focus on building a supportive ecosystem for Meltio’s technology in the Brazilian territory partnering and driving business opportunities alongside technology centers, tooling machine companies, robotic integrators, academia, and industry.
Ziknes is a technology startup, aiming to revolutionize the traditional manufacturing ecosystem with Meltio’s solution for producing metal parts, specifically the Meltio Engine Robot Integration which breaks the traditional manufacturing barriers associated with metal 3D printing. This unique solution allows for large-scale metal additive manufacturing as the working envelope is only limited by the size of the motion system, which is much larger than those of any typical metal 3D printer. The Meltio Engine Robot Integration is the perfect platform for large and complex 3D printing, repair, cladding, and feature addition.
Meltio’s multi-metal 3D printing technology precisely stacks weld beads on top of one another when introduced into a laser-generated melt pool. The process uses commodity welding wire, the cleanest, safest and lowest cost metal feedstock on the market. The Meltio Engine integrates impeccably with both robotic as well as CNC equipment, bringing new metal additive manufacturing capabilities to a wide range of industries and applications.
“We are thrilled to be working with Ziknes and Sicnova, as the collaboration between sales and integration partners within the Meltio ecosystem is critical to fast-track technology adoption in a territory. Together with Ziknes, we are now able to cater to the needs of the ever-growing Spanish and Portuguese robotic metal additive manufacturing market”, said Gerard García, Head of Sales and Marketing at Meltio.
The Ziknes team has extensive experience with high-end technology applications. After years of working together in renowned companies such as Tesla, Merck Group, or Jaguar, they decided to join forces and found Ziknes to focus exclusively on robotic metal 3D printing applications, working closely with Meltio as part of Sicnova’s commercial ecosystem. “Being able to enter to the additive industry with great players such as Sicnova and Meltio was what made us not to hesitate to found Ziknes. Together with Meltio’s innovative technology, we want to introduce our knowledge of automating robotic processes and industrial software development, to create metal parts with laser metal deposition technology. We have no doubt that joining the experience of the three companies will make it easier to use this technology in any sector” said Nacho León, CEO de Ziknes.
Sicnova is the exclusive distributor of Meltio’s technology in Spain and Portugal since 2019. The company leverages its broad experience in the industrial sector and its well-established sales network for introducing Meltio’s unique additive manufacturing solutions to industries seeking a competitive advantage in their production process.
“Ziknes plays a key role in our ecosystem, as an official Meltio Engine integrator for robotic systems. At Sicnova we firmly believe in the potential of this technology for companies in the industrial sector that want to further their production processes, with a special focus on process automation. That is why we wanted to count on Ziknes, a young company with great talent and know-how in this type of applications so that our customers have all the facilities and our guarantee to implement this cutting-edge technology.” said Agustín García, Sales Manager at Sicnova.
