Mastering AM conference returns for the first time since 2019

The Mastering AM conference is returning as a live event this year – for the first time since 2019. The conference takes place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, in Coventry, on Thursday 7th September 2023, and will offer major opportunities to network with other AM professionals, share experiences, and discover what’s new in the industry.

Mastering AM promises to be an excellent ‘sharing user experience’ event for the AM industry, with more than 250 attendees set to attend and broaden their knowledge of the latest additive technology solutions.

At the event, leading additive technology experts will share their knowledge and insights. Helping visitors broaden their market intelligence and spearhead growth will be speakers from some of the top companies in the sector – such as Siemens P&E, Eaton Aerospace, Ricoh, and Wier.

Mastering AM is a collaboration between Additive Manufacturing UK (AMUK), the UK’s only trade association dedicated to the AM sector and a constituent member of the Manufacturing Technologies Association cluster, and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM).

This event is suited to anyone with an interest in AM, whether they are already using additive technology, have it in their supply chain, or are just getting started. Expect to learn about the latest advances in AM, hear from industry experts, take advantage of opportunities to network with other AM professionals, and share best practice to help benchmark performance.

With experienced users leading informative presentations and Q&A sessions, those attending Mastering AM are expected to walk away from the conference with a wealth of new information set to help them accelerate their additive technology adoption journey.

“Mastering AM provides a platform for additive manufacturing and 3D printing users to come together and share best industry practice. It will offer attendees an opportunity to learn from others’ experiences, exchange insights, and stay updated on the on the latest developments in the field of industrial additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology,” said Josh Dugdale, the MTA’s Head of Technology & Skills. “The collaborative environment that Mastering AM aims to provide will enable the attendees to optimise their use of additive and 3D printing technologies – which we hope will lead to technology advancements and increased productivity for the additive and 3D printing community in the UK.”

The content-packed agenda includes topics such as Metal Powder Bed Fusion – Laser-Based; Design for AM and Process Simulation; Polymer Additive Manufacturing; Directed Energy Deposition; Binder Jetting; Ceramic AM; and State of AM in the UK (present and future).

Attendees will be able to participate in a variety of valuable supporting activities, including getting help with collaborative R&D funding, assistance for SMEs in additive manufacturing, and expert drop-in sessions.
