Mark your calendars: Formnext 2024 is coming to Frankfurt November 19-22
As of June, the event already has 664 companies registered
Though still several months away, organizers of the upcoming Formnext 2024 trade show are busy preparing the Frankfurt-based event. The additive manufacturing industry event will be help from November 19 to 22, 2024 and already has a roster of 664 companies registered.
The German-based trade show has always had an international makeup and this year is no different: of the 664 companies already registered, 64% come from outside of Germany, hailing from as many as 34 countries including the US, China, UK, France, Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Exhibitors will include 3D printing leaders such as 3D Systems, Additive Industries, BigRep, Carbon, EOS, Evonik, Farsoon, Colibrium Additive, Materialise, Nikon SLM Solutions, Oerlikon, Stratasys, Velo3D and many more.
“The high number of registrations at Formnext underlines the importance of additive manufacturing for the entire industry,” said Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President of Formnext, an event organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “AM is indeed a technology that allows us to face current challenges, to discover and exploit new opportunities from an economic point of view. At the same time Formnext reflects the dynamics of the global AM industry, which every year paves the way for the industrial future with numerous innovations and applications.”
As usual, the AM showcase will feature a series of events that both exhibitors and visitors can partake in. This year, however, the organizers are introducing some changes. For example, what had previously been the Start-Up Challenge has been transformed into the Formnext Awards, which will present awards in six different categories, including innovative young companies, sustainable business ideas and pioneering technologies.
Formnext 2024 will also host a series of talks and presentations on three stages, each of which will focus on a different verticals: Application, Industry and Technology. Event organizers are giving us a little peak of what will be discussed in November on the stages, including AI in additive manufacturing, medical and dental technologies, robotics and automation and more. Other notable features of the upcoming event include a “Dienstleiter Marketplace” (services marketplace) that will be focused on medical, dental and packaging industries; the Pitchnext event; a Career Day where job seekers can learn about career opportunities; and Discover 3D Printing seminars.
The German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) will also host the BE-AM special exhibition, which will highlight AM applications in the field of mechanical engineering. This exhibition will showcase the progress made in construction 3D printing and feature a symposium on the topic. As in previous years, Formnext 2024 has a partner country. This year it will be Australia, which is home to many innovative AM companies, research centers and service providers.
As we wait for the leading international trade show to take place in November 2024, Formnext is hosting a number of other events, including Formnext + PM South China from the 28-30 of August, IMTS Chicago in September 2024 and Formnext Forum Tokyo from the 26-27 of September 2024.
