Magnaghi Aeronautica Group and Roboze sign MoU at Paris Air Show

At this year’s Paris Air Show, Magnaghi Aeronautica Group, a global leader in landing systems and composite wing and moveable control surfaces, and Roboze, a global leader in 3D printing technology for advanced super polymers and composites, signed an MoU – with the goal of entering the production for class 2 and 3 landing gear components while standardizing the manufacturing and qualification approach of the 3D printing technology.

In the aviation industry, additive manufacturing has opened up new possibilities and revolutionized several aspects of the design and production of low-weight, complex aircraft components – without compromising structural capability and safety. Until now, however, polymer 3D printing applications have been limited to interiors. Roboze and Magnaghi have been collaborating for some time to change this.

Since Magnaghi Aeronautica Group was founded, in 1936, as a supplier for the Italian Air Force, the company’s vision has always been centered on innovation and the development of cutting-edge design and production methods.
