M. Holland appoints Haleyanne Freedman as new Market Manager, 3D Printing

M. Holland, a distributor of thermoplastic resins, has appointed Haleyanne Freedman to the position of Market Manager, 3D Printing. In her new role, Freedman will oversee the company’s growing 3D printing team, as well as develop a market strategy and expand M. Holland’s 3D printing portfolio. Freedman will also be responsible for working with industrial clients, providing guidance on the adoption of additive manufacturing.

Freedman first joined M. Holland in 2018 and played a critical role in building the company’s 3D printing materials line card with products from various suppliers, including Owens Corning, BASF and 3DXTECH. She also helped to establish a development and production lab at M. Holland’s headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois, further reinforcing its interest in AM.

M. Holland also credit Freedman with growing its 3D printing consulting practice, which works with clients, advising them on equipment and product selection, process optimization and adoption, and material and application validations.

“Freedman has a wealth of technical and applications-based expertise and has been influential in helping bring M. Holland to the forefront of 3D printing within the plastics industry,” commented Dwight Morgan, Executive Vice President of Business Development at M. Holland. “We’re excited to see what she continues to accomplish in her expanded role.”

Prior to joining M. Holland, Freedman worked for a machine tool importer, managing its 3D printing department. This gave her vital insights into industrial manufacturing and specifically additive manufacturing. She is also experiences in CAD programs and has a certification in Additive Manufacturing Polymers and Metals from MIT. In addition to her more industrial experience, Freedman is Vice Chair for Women in Manufacturing Wisconsin and the Co-Chair for the Great Lakes chapter of Women in 3D Printing.

Presently, M. Holland offers a broad portfolio of 3D printing materials, including Owens Corning’s XSTRAND products, as well as various plastic filaments developed by BASF, and a number of advanced materials from 3DXTECH, including carbon-reinforced, high-performance, flame-retardant, electrostatic discharge-safe and support materials.

Recognizing the rapid evolution of the additive manufacturing sector, the company is aiming to broaden its portfolio and leverage its expertise in plastic materials to accelerate the adoption of 3D printing. The company’s 3D printing efforts are focused at a dedicated 3D printing lab at its Northbrook HQ and at a R&D center in Easton, Pennsylvania.
