Thermoplastic resin distributor M. Holland Company has entered into a distribution partnership with 3DXTECH, a manufacturer of advanced 3D printing materials based in Michigan. As per the agreement, M. Holland will add 3DXTECH materials to its 3D printing product portfolio, offering its clients access to over 24 new materials, as well as expanded commercial and technical support resources.

As a distributor of 3DXTECH AM materials, M. Holland will now offer such new materials as carbon fiber reinforced, electrostatic discharge-safe and fire-retardant materials. M. Holland joins a number of other global resellers for 3DXTECH products including Matterhackers, Filament World, SVET 3D and 3D Filaprint.

“At M. Holland, our mission is to give our industrial clients agnostic advice about how to integrate 3D printing into their operations to create value,” commented Haleyanne Freedman, M. Holland’s global 3D printing and additive manufacturing engineering specialist. “The 3DXTECH product line gives us a full portfolio of high quality, engineering-grade materials, which we can marry with objective recommendations about methods and machinery to deliver the optimal solutions to our clients.”

Earlier this year, M. Holland inked its first distribution agreement for 3D printing materials with Owens Corning, through which it has been distributing the latter’s XSTRAND line of products. The thermoplastic supplier has also reportedly been exploring other 3D printing capabilities at its R&D center in Easton, Pennsylvania and at its 3D Printing Lab at its headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois.

“Our agreement with M. Holland provides us a great opportunity to merge our relationships with injection molders, extruders, and OEMs who already use 3D printing or want to integrate it into their industrial manufacturing practices,” added Matt Howlett, Founder and CEO of 3DXTECH. “Whether M. Holland’s clients are looking to use 3D printing to create real end-use applications and functional parts, produce fixtures or jigs, replace tooling, or allow for quicker innovation—we are here to help them achieve their 3D printing objectives.”

3DXTECH was founded in 2014 and has grown steadily since. In September, the company bought a new, 68,000-square-foot facility to house its production, which will enable it to double its extrusion capacity and to “support its more than 200% year-over-year growth rate.” In line with this growth, 3DXTECH reports that it will increase its team from 12 to 20 employees by the end of the year.

In terms of materials the Michigan-based company offers, it manufacturers an array of high performance filaments, including carbon fiber reinforced materials, PEEK filament, polycarbonate and ULTEM.
