A passion for single-seaters that has accompanied him since his childhood, Lucas Di Grassi was only 10 years old when he made his first debut as a race driver, starting his long career of successes and records. In 2016, the protagonist of the “Project Ice” event, was the first man in history to drive a racing car on the Arctic ice sheet. Pioneer and promoter of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, where he was the first driver to commit and conceive the series for electric-powered vehicles, today he joins the Roboze investor team with the aim of bringing sustainable and smart production models to the market.

“My long-term vision is to create a better world using cutting-edge technologies”, said Lucas di Grassi. “In Roboze I have recognized a 3D printing technology with a completely revolutionary approach to its products and its effects on our planet. A delocalized production, guided by solutions specifically designed to rethink how objects are produced today in a more sustainable way”. Roboze is a provider of industrial 3D printing solutions specializing in metal replacement with super polymers and composite materials. Developed to bring production value back to the point of use, Roboze 3D printers enable production scalability with the additive manufacturing method. Roboze Distributed Manufacturing is the vision of the company that aims, through its systems, to reduce production costs, optimize supply chains around the world and also bring social, territorial, and environmental benefits.

Lucas Di Grassi

“I am delighted to welcome ABB Formula E World Champion and sustainability ambassador Lucas Di Grassi among Roboze’s investors”, said Alessio Lorusso, Founder & CEO of Roboze. “Having investors who share my same vision where profits meet better use of natural resources and where financial sustainability turns into environmental sustainability is extremely important to me”. Roboze Distributed Manufacturing, thanks to the support of the 3D Parts network consisting of certified centers, users of Roboze Production technology, obtained an honorable mention in the Best World Changing Idea EMEA category of the Fast Company’s 2021 World-Changing Ideas Awards, as it helps manufacturers to reduce the costs and times of the supply chain by digitizing
their inventory in a sustainable and efficient way, crossing benefits both for the end-user and for the environment.

It has also been awarded at the Edison Awards in the Manufacturing, Logistics & Transportation category, thanks to its ability to connect demand with supply, creating a distributed production model that allows producing avoiding waste, reducing shipments and emissions of CO2, and bringing production close to the point of use.

Lucas di Grassi will bring his experience within the company by joining the Technology Commette formed today by important personalities such as Sandro De Poli, President of Avio Aero-GE Aviation Business, and Steven Gonzalez, one of the world's leading experts in the space industry, with over 32 years of experience at NASA.
