Henkel and Bossard bring Loctite PR10 DLP 3D printer and resins to market

Loctite-branded 3D printer also comes with 3D printing specific bonder

This may have slipped under the radar. The Henkel Group is not just establishing itself as a major developer and supplier of 3D printing materials for photopolymerization and powder bed fusion polymer system manufacturers like HP and Carbon. Through it proprietary Loctite brand, the company is also bringing its own Loctite PR10 DLP 3D printer and relative resin materials, including a 3D-printing specific Loctite bonder.

With the Loctite PR10 DLP printer, Henkel is thus launching an advanced printer on the market which promises high resolutions of up to 100 μm on X and Y axes and 12 μm – 100 μm (resin dependent) on the Z axis. This comes within a hefty build envelope of 192 mm x 108 mm x 250 mm at a maximum printing speed of 17 mm/hour (using LOCTITE 3D 3830 C resin at 100 μm resolution). The stereolithographic system also comes standard with the EQ PR10 Resin Tray, the EQ PR10 Build Platform and the EQ PR10 Starter Kit.

Bossard, which recently entered the market to become a 3D printer distributor, is partnering with the German adhesive manufacturer, to offer its Loctite PR10 DLP printer and a selection of its synthetic resins for additive manufacturing. In fact, KVT-Fastening – the Bossard company that handles 3D printing distribution – already has a long-standing partnership with Henkel in the adhesives field. The first 8 materials available, all start at $144 per liter and include several different colors as well as flexible and clear materials. The Loctite 3DP Universal Bonder come in an 11 gram Syringe, 12/CA, priced $20.

The machine does support third-party materials but it also comes with pre-calibrated settings for all approved LOCTITE Resins. The large build platform allows manufacturing an entire range of components in a single run. Multiple components can be produced at the same time without influencing build speed.
