# Lithoz reports 40% ceramic material revenue growth for first half of 2026

[Ceramic AM pioneer Lithoz](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/lithoz/) has reported a 40% year-over-year increase in revenue from its ceramic materials for lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) printing at the end of the second quarter of 2026.

The increase has prompted an upward revision to Lithoz’s full-year outlook, and the company has attributed the growth to rising demand from contract manufacturers operating [LCM printer fleets](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-installs-cerafab-multi-2m30-printer-at-ipm-cas/) and its continued expansion into the medical technology sector.

More than half of the global installed base of Lithoz's CeraFab System machines was operated in print farms run by just a fifth of the company's customers, Lithoz said, pointing to that concentration as a central driver of the revenue increase. The company described its wider customer base, which spans multiple continents and includes industrial and academic partners, as its “Ceramic 3D Factory” network.

“We are not only continuously improving and revalidating our materials,” said Dr. Johannes Homa, Chief Executive Officer at Lithoz. “We've even developed a good number of customized materials for customers now persistently scaling their production to greater volumes.

“[Reaching ISO 13485 certification for our quality management in material production was a big milestone](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-achieves-iso-13485-certification/) and proved to be a powerful door opener to many demanding industries; even the most tightly regulated industries that can profit off our technology.”

## Materials behind the gains, medical and aerospace demand

[Across Lithoz's portfolio of more than 20 ceramic materials](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-launching-upgraded-materials-ceramitec-2026/), alumina and zirconia continued to account for the largest share of revenue, the company reported. Three materials showed the steepest individual gains in demand: aluminum nitride, calcium phosphates and silica-based ceramics. Aluminum nitride has found growing use in thermal management applications including semiconductor manufacturing, propulsion systems and data center cooling.

Demand for calcium phosphates, used in patient-specific resorbable implants, grew as expanded clinical evidence on LCM-printed ceramic implants gained wider acknowledgment among medical experts, Lithoz stated.

Demand for silica-based ceramics used in casting cores rose sharply following Safran Aircraft Engines' adoption of LCM to develop a next-generation of single-crystal turbine blades for future aircraft engines, with Lithoz attributing the increase to that single customer.
