# Lithoz launching three materials at ceramitec 2026

Ceramic AM pioneer [Lithoz](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/lithoz/) is preparing for a [big showcase at the upcoming ceramitec 2026 expo](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-brings-industrial-am-ceramitec-2026/). Not only will the Austrian company be bringing a number of demonstrator components—including 46 casting cores for single-crystal turbine blades—it will also be launching three new technical ceramics for its Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing (LCM) technology. The new ceramic slurries are upgrades of Lithoz's top-selling materials.

The three new ceramic consumables for 3D printing are an upgraded LithaLox, a new LithaCon zirconia variant, and a Medical-Grade LithaCon ATZ. The first of the three builds on Lithoz's popular LithaLox slurry, which is based on high-purity aluminum oxide and it known for its high hardness and temperature and corrosion resistance. The versatile material has now been upgraded for improved processing, combining the benefits of high-purity alumina with the easy processing of other ceramic variants. According to Lithoz, the new LithaLox gives users the ability to print parts with wall thicknesses of up to 12 mm and has a greater solid loading ratio of 55% volume. The latter translates to a smaller and more uniform shrinkage ratio, while Lithoz has also recorded superior ceramic properties like bending strength.

The upgraded LithaCon zirconia variant builds on the successes of Lithoz's earlier LithaCon slurry, which offers biocompatibility and excellent bending strength. Among the improvements to the zirconia-based material are upgrades in fracture toughness, cleanability, and, most notably, an increased Weibull modulus. This signifies higher material reliability when it comes to bending strength values. As Lithoz explains further: "The improved Weibull modulus as a reliability parameter is directly linked to a significantly reduced rate of quality deviation from targeted values of finished parts." This makes for a ceramic slurry that is ideally suited to parts with threads, including endosseous screws of dental implants. 

The third material that Lithoz will unveil at ceramitec 2026 is a Medical Grade LithaCon ATZ. This variant on on alumina-toughened zirconia (ATZ) has been engineered for medical applications following growing demand from the MedTech sector for ceramic dental implants, surgical tools, shavers and burs, and more. The medical-grade ATZ reportedly delivers the best of alumina and zirconia—with excellent hardness, strength, and resistance to wear and corrosion—as well as full biocompatibility. Other notable properties of the new slurry, which is based on Lithoz’s ISO 13485 certified quality management, include wall thicknesses up to 17 mm and a bending strength of measured 993 MPa.

The three new materials, upgraded with industrial series production in mind, will be presented at ceramitec alongside Lithoz's CeraFab S320 3D printer and a number of use cases. Visitors of the event will be able to see first hand the versatility of ceramic AM through these use case parts, which include a series of 46 casting cores for the aerospace industry, a 15" Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) ring for the semiconductor industry, 3D printed cooling plates made from AIN, 3D printed otoplastics for the medical sector, and 132 zirconia dental implants.

Lithoz will also be highlighting its Ceramic 3D Factory, a growing global network of certified service providers that leverage the company's LCM technology.
