# Leitat and DISCMAM help shape AM Village 2026 program across Madrid and Albacete

[Leitat Technological Center](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/leitat-technological-center/) joined the second preparation meeting for [AM Village 2026](https://www.voxelmatters.com/event/am-village-2026-amv-2026/) in Madrid, represented by Xavier Tutó, where organizers refined the technical and operational plan for the five-day workshop scheduled for March 16–20, 2026, in Albacete.

![Join us for AM Village 2026 in Albacete. Experience hands-on sessions and discussions on additive manufacturing capabilities.](https://www.voxelmatters.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/WAAM3D_AMVillage2026-logo-v2.png)Organizers describe AM Village as a working format—distinct from a trade show or conference—built around hands-on sessions, technical exchanges, and seminars to validate additive manufacturing capabilities for defense logistics.

Those discussions followed the first preparation meeting held October 21–23, 2025, in Albacete, hosted by the Spanish Air and Space Force and organized by the European Defence Agency. Event listings and organizer materials confirm the dates and location and position the 2026 edition as the third AM Village.

At the Albacete session, the DISCMAM consortium—industry partners [Fieldmade](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/fieldmade/), [Optimus3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/optimus3d/) and [Euler 3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/euler/), with research bodies LORTEK and DTI—proposed a dedicated workshop centered on the project’s solution, including a live on-site demonstration.

According to project materials, the proposal also envisioned technical briefings and direct interactions with European ministries of defense to discuss ongoing military applications. The project states that feedback at the meeting was positive, and that networking with additional companies and research centers continued around the DISCMAM activity concept.

Consortium information shows DISCMAM as a European Defence Fund project focused on a digital supply chain for on-site maintenance using metal additive manufacturing, with participants spanning industry and academia.

The AM Village 3.0 workshop is set for March 16–20, 2026, at the Albacete Air Base, jointly run by the European Defence Agency and Spain’s air service. Organizers outline a practice-first format focused on military use cases, capability briefings, and live demonstrations—from rapid repair and 3D scanning to full-scale manufacturing trials—to support supply-chain resilience and interoperability. Multiple notices from organizers and participants confirm the dates and location.

Leitat’s participation in the Madrid session and DISCMAM’s proposal in Albacete contribute to the agenda now being assembled, with further details to follow as the 2026 program is finalized.
