What happens when you put 3D printing and a proprietary hyper-speed food production process into a blender and infuse it with design? Meet Pixsweet, a brand new platform that enables consumers to turn every pixel of the internet into ice pops. By combining intuitive software with a proprietary production process, Pixsweet delivers customized, personalized ice pops in just a few clicks.

In 2016 Janne Kyttanen left 3D Systems after a five-year tenure as Creative Director to found his venture capital fund, What The Future Venture Capital. Led by Kyttanen and co-founded by Bugaboo founder Eduard Zanen, WTF is an incubator/VC hybrid that aims to design new companies at the same speed as designing new products.

Most recently the WTF team have been figuring out the answer to Kyttanen’s big question ‘What does the internet taste like?’

Fueled by his frustration with the lack of scalability of existing custom 3D printed products, Kyttanen set out to design a unified software and hardware solution that would bring freedom of creation to the masses at an affordable price point.

The result is pixsweet.com – the first truly scalable, mass customization consumer product, powered by 3D printing. The vision and the technology may be serious, but Kyttanen’s infectious enthusiasm for fun remains intact:

“We want to present high-end design and technology in a really fun way; we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We think that Pixsweet is the most instagrammble food experience for every celebration from kid’s birthday parties to movie premieres. We just want to join the party.”

Janne Kyttanen is a digital sculptor, creating multidisciplinary work at the intersection of 3D printing, virtual & augmented reality. He is best known for his revolutionary work with 3D printing and is considered to be one of the most influential designers of his generation.
