The Round's Never Ending Pencil breaks down alloy metal molecules on paper for writing

Inventor Michael P. Bourque created a pencil that uses inkless technology. The 3D printed never ending pencil breaks down alloy metal molecules on paper for writing. It feels just like using a regular pencil. It has no need for sharpening or refills—it simply lasts (almost) forever.

You can use it to write, erase, and get durable, smooth lines every time. Bourque says that the Round’s Never Ending Pencil today is ideal for makers, carpenters, and professionals to “write the future without ever losing the point.”

Bourque 3D printed the Never Ending Pencil using a special metal alloy NiB (nickel-boron) rather than graphite. When you write, the friction between the metal NiB and the paper causes tiny particles of the metal alloy to leave a mark. This is very similar to how a regular pencil works. Since the metal alloy wears down extremely slowly, the pencil can last almost forever without requiring any refills or sharpening.

To create the Round’s Never Ending Pencil Bourque simply bought the everlasting pencil replaceable refills on Amazon and 3D printed the pencil’s body. In fact, he also created version 1.2, which fits behind the ear. According to a simple calculation, if a person uses as many as 12 pencils per year, he could save $650 over a 60-year span by using the Round’s Never Ending Pencil.
