# Intrepid Automation and Rapid Fluidics partner in US move

[Intrepid Automation, an industrial additive manufacturing solutions provider](https://www.3dprintingbusiness.directory/company/intrepid-automation/), and [Rapid Fluidics, a leader in microfluidic design and rapid-production services](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/rapid-fluidics/), have partnered to scale microfluidic manufacturing technology in the US.

The strategic partnership will leverage Intrepid Automation's scalable production-grade AM capabilities in combination with Rapid Fluidics’ design and prototyping expertise to significantly advance the cost-effective development and production of high-precision microfluidic components.

“Rapid Fluidics brings deep expertise in microfluidics, and our scalable 3D printing systems allow those innovations to reach mass production without compromise,” stated Ben Wynne, President and CTO of Intrepid Automation. “This partnership isn’t just about speed, but rather quality, regulatory compliance, and creating a foundation for future growth in several sectors, from healthcare to industrial applications.”

[Intrepid Automation](https://www.voxelmatters.com/intrepid-automation-introduces-its-valkyrie-system/) will also become Rapid Fluidics’ exclusive US manufacturing partner for microfluidics as part of the link-up. The healthcare and industrial markets are clear targets for both companies, which will together maximize the capabilities of Intrepid’s ISO-certified facilities.

“Partnering with Intrepid gives us the ability to bring our microfluidic designs from the lab to real-world production faster than ever,” commented Rapid Fluidics Founder and CEO, Paul Marshall. “By establishing US-based manufacturing, we can reduce costs, improve reliability, and deliver solutions that meet the growing demand for high-throughput health and industrial applications.

“The ultimate goal is to accelerate product development and apply breakthrough microfluidic technology in ways that meaningfully improve human health.”

AM’s impact on production timelines has been highlighted in early case studies cited by [Rapid Fluidics](https://www.voxelmatters.com/rapid-fluidics-and-flow-circuits-enter-microfluidic-partnership/), which claims a reduction from six weeks to just two minutes.

This partnership is part of a new phase of growth for Intrepid Automations, which recently appointed manufacturing and automation veteran Rich Carone as CEO with a view to expansion into new AM markets.
