# Inside the CyberBrick 3D Printed City by Bambu Lab

If you attended this year’s Formnext, you could hardly miss the [Bambu Lab](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/bambu-lab/) booth. Anyone who managed to get through the constantly crowded stand was greeted by an enormous city model, entirely produced using only FFF technology. This impressive installation was built around the CyberBrick system.

The 3D Printed City was manufactured simultaneously on 100 H2D Bambu Lab printers, with the entire process taking seven days. It is a truly remarkable project, in which every single part of the city was carefully designed and produced with exceptional precision.

Before going any further, it is worth briefly explaining [what CyberBrick is](https://www.voxelmatters.com/cyberbrick-launches-kickstarter-campaign/). It is a modular system of 3D-printed components that enables the construction of vehicles or structures equipped with dedicated electronics. The concept can be compared to the well-known LEGO Mindstorms kits, with one key difference: CyberBrick modules can house motors, batteries, LEDs, or microcontrollers. This allows static printed parts to be transformed into fully functional mechanical systems, significantly expanding creative possibilities.

The exhibition featured a city layout displayed on a custom table measuring 4 meters long and 2 meters wide. Approximately 300 kilograms of filament were used in its production. The model included numerous striking details, such as fully illuminated roads hidden beneath tunnels and elements of greenery, including grass printed using an unconventional technique.

The interiors of the buildings were fully furnished. Along one of the streets stood a library equipped with bookcases just 6 cm high, filled with tiny, colorful magazines. In the neighboring café, Bambu Coffee, visitors could spot precisely printed promotional posters adorning the interior.

The level of realism was particularly impressive, given the many precise details, such as air-conditioning systems in buildings, flowerpots on balconies, and cozy curtains hidden in the rooms. In one of the installations, there was even a miniature model of the city, cleverly placed inside a building.

One aspect that deserves special attention is the grass in the park beneath the hill. Rethinking the model's orientation during printing achieved a realistic effect most would not expect. At the same time, all trees, rocks, and roads were also printed using Bambu Lab printers.

And that was not all. Bambu Lab further surprised visitors with interactive games integrated into the model. One construction site allowed participants to roll dice and collect points, while remote-controlled forklifts enabled visitors to compete for the fastest time in stacking crates.
