IN-VISION, the Austrian DLP light engine specialist, is opening its doors to innovators looking to explore new applications based on DLP high precision light. The Innovators in Residence program is currently accepting applications in the fields of bioprinting, biofabrication and microfluidics.

Accelerating light projection

DLP projection has enabled many innovations since its invention in the late 1970s. From digital cinema projection to machine vision, 3D scanning and additive manufacturing, Texas Instruments’ micromirror arrays never stop inspiring new applications.

As a TI design house partner for over two decades, IN-VISION has collaborated with many different companies and research labs to bring the high-precision and speed of DLP projection to the fields of 3D printing, lithography, and metrology. And that’s only the beginning.

IN-VISION, the Austrian DLP light engine specialist, is opening its doors to innovators looking to explore new applications based on DLPThe goal of IN-VISION’s Innovators in Residence program is to spur collaborations and accelerate the emergence of promising applications based on structured light.

“Our DLP light engines have shown to be an amazing enabling technology, that provides our customers with the means to realize new ideas and generate innovations in many different areas”, said Florian Zangerl, CEO of IN-VISION. “Who knows what the future will bring? We are ready for tomorrow’s applications now, that’s why we are launching the Innovators in Residence program.”

In the world of DLP optics

Selected innovators will get a chance to work at IN-VISION’s facilities in the South of Vienna for a few days and engage with the company’s top specialists in optics, electronics, and mechanical design.

“Our team is ready to help and share their knowledge and love of precision light!”, added Florian Zangerl.

“Researchers, students, and innovators from university labs, startups and private companies are most welcome to apply”, further explained Karine Blandel, Senior Manager in charge of the Innovators in Residence program. “We are very much looking forward to the ideas applicants will want to test. It can be anything from testing new materials to developing a new 3D-printer or software, or any other new application that nobody has thought about yet.”

The first call for applications focuses on Bioprinting, biofabrication, and microfluidics. The deadline for applying is January 31, 2022. A second call on a different topic will follow in the spring of 2022.
