HS HITECH designs atypical buildings with HP multi jet fusion technology
Using multi-jet fusion technology from HP 3D printing, Korean 3D printing service HS HITECH helped create uniquely designed architectural elements, allowing designers and engineers to design freely while supporting large-quantity production of customized products. See the video above for more information on this project.
HS HITECH’s Seungkyu Yoo and Yena Jung used MJF technology to not only solve the geometric challenges they experienced in designing these atypical architectural elements but also to enhance their ability to produce large quantities of customized end parts and getting their products to customers faster. Another construction from HS HITECH is expected to be built in Zurich.
HS HITECH is an interesting company in the panorama of 3D printing. It operates primarily as a manufacturer of electronics and semiconductors (for which it also uses 3D printing). Recently the company formed a joint venture with Z3DLab, also a very unique – and not so well known – company that developed a particular process to 3D print metal-ceramic composites using SLM technology. HS HITECH and Z3DLab established a 3D printing center in Korea specifically to work on the optimization of 3D printing processes.
The company’s activities in 3D printing, which span form construction and ceramics to polymer 3D printing, are relatively new and they are grouped under the 3DPRYOL brand.
