Hawk 3D Proto ceases operations, CEO moves on to new opportunities
Hawk 3D Proto, a young though quite popular 3D product resellers in the UK, has closed its doors. We did not see that coming, as the company seemed to be one of the most active in the UK scene. Although we often met and spoke with Ben at shows, and very much appreciated his approach to the market, we regret that we never had the opportunity to actively collaborate with Hawk 3D and help the company further promote its brand and products.
“This is a very important announcement regarding my company, Hawk 3D Proto – founder and CEO Ben Hawksworth said in a statement accompanying a recent YouTube video (see above) – before I get into the finer details, I have to get the serious stuff out of the way as I want to be honest about this. So here goes, It is with great sadness that I will be closing my 3D Printing business very soon, along with my showroom. It has been an amazing 6 years of business, I have had so many fantastic suppliers both past and present, I would like to thank you all for all of your support. We have been featured in national newspapers, blogs, videos and more! I want to thank each and everyone of you, who has interacted with me in person, via social media, for watching these videos and by commenting on what we do on Twitter for example. I really hope that this will continue, this is not the end, this is a new start of a fantastic and wonderful journey that I hope you will follow me on! Don’t worry though, there will be more videos and vlogs to come, very soon! Hope you like this vlog and thanks for watching!”
Hawk 3D Proto supplied a wide range of desktop 3D printers as a distributor for BCN 3D Technologies, authorized Reseller for Lulzbot, WASP, Stacker 3D, Zortrax and ZYYX+, offering systems to cater to engineering, education, product design, architecture or any other industrial segment. The company also ran a 3D Printing bureau with a state of the art 3D Printing showroom, available to visit by appointment for live product demonstrations, workshops and more.
