# Haddy opens ‘world’s largest’ 3D printing factory

[Haddy, a large-scale digital manufacturing company](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/haddy/), has officially opened the doors to its new microfactory, which is one of the largest and most powerful 3D printing facilities in the world. With this launch - and in light of recent trade and tariff developments - the facility becomes a symbol of the next era of American manufacturing.

The state-of-the-art facility was realized in close collaboration with [CEAD](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/cead/)[ – a leader in large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) solutions](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/cead/) – who provided and installed the advanced LFAM technology powering the microfactory. Driven by eight Flexbot robotic 3D printing systems with integrated CNC post-processing capabilities, the facility is one of the largest and most powerful 3D printing facilities of its kind globally.

“For CEAD, this marks a significant milestone in enabling customers with localized, fully integrated manufacturing”. Said Lucas Janssen, CEO and co-founder of CEAD. “This microfactory is a powerful testament to what CEAD and our team can achieve, delivering advanced technology at scale, but it’s also a showcase of what’s possible when visionary companies like Haddy embrace this technology to drive local production and real-word impact.’

According to Haddy, the AI-powered factory has 16x the production capacity of its nearest 3D printing competitor and shows a future of manufacturing that is fast, scalable, and radically adaptive. The facility combines robotics, AI-driven production, and fully recyclable materials to deliver industrial-grade products faster, cleaner, and closer to where they’re needed.

“Haddy’s new facility represents one of the most significant leaps forward for the ‘reindustrialization’ movement in the United States,” said Jay Rogers, CEO of Haddy, [in an interview with BBC News](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj1sSgJQS14). “Emerging tech is paving the way. Hard-to-make products can be re-shored to regions all over the United States – and made even better than when they were concentrated in low-labor locations abroad.”

Initially focused on producing design-forward furniture, Haddy is now expanding into high-impact sectors like national defense, disaster recovery, construction, and beyond. Whether printing battlefield-ready gear, [modular housing components](https://www.voxelmatters.com/mighty-buildings-awarded-5m-to-develop-affordable-3d-printed-green-housing/), or mobile infrastructure, Haddy's technology offers a new blueprint for agile, on-demand production.

We can build smarter, faster, and more cost-effectively while enhancing overall quality. And we can do it right here at home. If you time-traveled to this moment, you’d think this was insane. But it’s real.”

The St. Petersburg location boasts one of the world’s largest 3D printing facilities (based on total throughput and machine count); has 4- 6x more output per robot than standard systems; is 100% recyclable, sustainable materials; and has robots capable of producing everything from furniture and home construction components to defense assets.

“This is the next quickening in the Industry 4.0 movement,” said Gat Caperton, CEO of Gat Creek and Board member of the AHFA. “Haddy has created a clean factory that takes digital designs and turns them into beautiful, lasting objects. The materials are circular. The process generates no waste. The process is fast, accurate, and repeatable. Haddy is doing the kind of manufacturing we long wished we could do. And though it will expand region by region globally, it has begun in the United States.”
