Formnext opens submissions for 2026 Awards program
Entries now accepted across six categories recognizing achievement in additive manufacturing
Formnext has opened submissions for the Formnext Awards 2026, its annual recognition program for individuals, companies, and solutions in the additive manufacturing industry. The awards will be presented at Formnext 2026, scheduled for November 17–20, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Over 500 exhibitors have already registered for this year’s event, and the program will again recognize work across six categories: the AMbassador Award, Design Award, (R)Evolution Award, Rookie Award, Start-up Award, and Sustainability Award. Together, the categories span technological development, sustainable practice, design excellence, entrepreneurial activity, and individual or organizational contribution to the AM community.
“The Formnext Awards demonstrate where additive manufacturing is already delivering tangible value today – technologically, economically, and socially,” stated Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext, Mesago Messe Frankfurt.
“They make visible which solutions are proven, which business models are viable, and which players are setting benchmarks. In doing so, the Awards offer valuable guidance within a highly dynamic market.”
Submissions will be reviewed by an international expert jury, which has been partially reappointed for 2026 to bring new perspectives alongside returning members. Evaluation criteria span technological, economic, design, and strategic dimensions.
Ceremony, prizes, and public involvement
Winners will be recognized at an official ceremony during Formnext 2026. Trophies, designed and produced in collaboration with SUTOSUTO and FKM Additive Manufacturing, will be awarded alongside cash or non-cash prizes, and start-ups and rookies will also receive individualized coaching.

Finalist submissions will be displayed at the event, and public voting — both on-site and online — will form part of the selection process.
“Through the Formnext Awards, we create a framework in which quality, comparability, and responsibility become visible,” said Petra Haarburger, President, Mesago Messe Frankfurt. “They are part of our mission to shape technology hubs that provide guidance, enable networking, and sustainably support the industrial implementation of innovative technologies.”
The submission deadline for the Start-up Award is July 31, 2026. All other categories remain open until August 31, 2026. Further details and application information are available at www.formnext.com/awards.
