Formnext 2016 establishes leading role as worldwide engine of innovation
In 2015, the very first formnext had already established itself as a leading international gathering at the exhibition grounds in Frankfurt. For four days, the formnext 2016 event wowed visitors from across the globe with its diverse array of groundbreaking developments and world premieres. 307 exhibitors presented their cutting-edge portfolios to 13,384 attendees and informed them about the efficient realization of parts and products from design to serial production.
Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President formnext at event organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, was clearly pleased with this year’s results:
“Formnext 2016 sets a clear statement. Already with the second edition it established a fixed place in the event calendars of the related industries.”
An international business platform
Another impressive aspect of formnext 2016 was its international flavor, with 44 percent of visitors attending from outside of Germany. They included representatives from global OEMs and leading firms from a range of industries.
Conference features top speakers on sports, science and industry
In cooperation with tct, the formnext conference took a closer look at the future of additive manufacturing on all four days of the exhibition.The conference drew a total of 647 participants (day passes reserved) from 25 countries, who broadened their knowledge of current and future developments and examples of specific applications.
Promoting creative minds and start-ups
Also attracting considerable interest on the formnext agenda were two competitions: the Start-up Challenge and the Purmundus Challenge. The creative ideas submitted to these events from the world of 3D printing allowed attendees a glimpse of the future possibilities in additive production.
The next formnext powered by TCT is scheduled to take place on 14 – 17 November 2017 in Frankfurt am Main.
