# Formlabs Manufacturing Network partners have printed 50,000 parts to date

[Formlabs](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/formlabs/) says it has produced 50,000 parts to date through the Formlabs Manufacturing Network, a group of contract manufacturers running the company’s SLA and SLS systems and materials. The figure comes from [a LinkedIn post by Rob Ortiz](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rob-m-ortiz_formlabs-manufacturing-network-just-helped-activity-7427851949410209792-Ijqi?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAADFBJkBkEq56cfEvDZQHQmbOPrJ3rHSb7w), a Formlabs executive, who framed the effort as a way to support customers who cannot make parts in-house because of size constraints, limited expertise, or the need to validate a workflow before scaling.

The Formlabs Manufacturing Network is a vetted set of contract manufacturers that can support a wide range of volumes, “whether you need 100 or 100,000 parts,” using the full range of Formlabs hardware and SLA and SLS materials.

Formlabs positions the network as more than job-shop capacity, highlighting engineering and pre-production services such as 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and print optimization, as well as post-processing options that can include vapor smoothing, dyeing and painting, tumbling, assembly, quality documentation, sterilization, and packaging, depending on the partner and application. Partners may hold certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485, and capabilities to serve regulated industries, including ITAR, as part of the network’s credentials.

In parallel, Formlabs' Form Now is a company-run on-demand service where users upload a design file, select a material, and receive printed parts without owning a machine. Formlabs’ Form Now site markets turnaround “as fast as 2 days” and order tracking through production and shipping.

Form Now represents a move to lower the barrier to professional 3D printing by packaging it as an e-commerce-style experience, with example pricing for sample parts starting at about $20. The same coverage initially raised a familiar channel question for the additive manufacturing market: when a major hardware supplier expands into services, it can overlap with existing service bureaus and contract manufacturers that already rely on the vendor’s installed base. This latest production result by the Formlabs Manufacturing Network may answer that.
