# Formism debuts on MakerWorld with futuristic shoes created in collaboration with Bambu Lab

At the end of 2025, a new footwear brand, [Formism, created by SCRY](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/scry/), made its debut on MakerWorld. The new line of shoes, designed in collaboration with [Bambu Lab](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/bambu-lab/), quickly attracted the attention of the 3D printing and contemporary design community.

The project launch took place just a few days before the New Year, and less than two weeks later, on January 12, 2026, a crowdfunding campaign was launched on MakerWorld. The original funding goal was set at $1,000 US; however, at the time of writing this article, the campaign has already exceeded that target more than eightfold, reaching approximately $8,500 US.

Three models are currently available for purchase on MakerWorld: Persona Heel Shoes, Persona Unisex Shoes, and Persona Sneaker, each priced at $49 US for the digital model. The designs can also be purchased as part of bundled packages. The Complete Package includes all three designs for personal use and is priced at $119 US. The ACE Package includes the full digital package along with the option to receive any selected model as a physical print produced by Bambu Lab and is priced at $459 US. A Commercial License option is also available, granting commercial usage rights for all three digital designs.

Formism is a new brand operating under the umbrella of SCRY, a company known for its experimental approach to footwear design. In collaboration with Bambu Lab, Formism has introduced a series of shoes specifically developed for production on desktop FFF 3D printers.

The shoes are offered as digital, print-at-home packages, which on one hand allow users to produce as many pairs as they wish, and on the other provide freedom in choosing colors as well as material hardness and flexibility.

Formism defines itself as a digital production asset studio, focusing on footwear, fashion, and lifestyle. The brand’s ambition is to redefine the quality of footwear and accessories within the context of personal manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on precision, functionality, and aesthetics.

Behind Formism stands the experience of the Chinese company SCRY, a futuristic and conceptual footwear brand that has gained significant recognition in the worlds of fashion and design, primarily through its use of advanced 3D printing technologies.

SCRY treats footwear as a research subject, continuously experimenting and pushing beyond the established boundaries of conventional shoe aesthetics. One of the company’s key achievements is the development of the Digital Embryo concept, which serves as the foundation for digital design and manufacturing within the footwear industry.

Within this architecture, SCRY Shuttle was created and is regarded as the world’s first fully integrated pair of additively manufactured footwear that is genuinely suitable for everyday wear.

The collaboration between Formism and Bambu Lab reflects the growing trend of home-based 3D printing of footwear. As part of this partnership, Bambu Lab also introduced new color variants of its TPU filaments, including a distinctive and visually striking silver option.

The crowdfunding campaign is set to conclude in mid-February 2026, and the level of engagement surrounding the project suggests that further development of the concept is likely.
