# ExOne targets small foundries with S-Print Pro sand binder jetting system

[ExOne](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/exone/) has released the S-Print Pro, a compact industrial sand binder jetting system it says is built for small and mid-sized foundries, pattern makers, and print service providers that have historically been unable to justify the cost of investing in the technology.

The system occupies less than 12 square meters of floor space and is positioned as the company's lowest-priced industrial sand 3D printer to date. It is designed to serve operations focused on low-volume casting, spare-part production, contract manufacturing, and custom components — segments that often lack the capital or throughput to absorb the cost of larger industrial systems.

The machine features a CoreBoost printhead generation operating at 400dpi and includes an optional StepX in-situ surface-smoothing function that reduces stair-stepping artifacts during the print process. User-replaceable printhead modules and a two-canister change system are intended to limit downtime. 

A configurable printhead design also allows operators to run the same unit in different module arrangements, choosing between higher print throughput or lower operating costs depending on production priorities. The build volume measures 1,200 × 750 × 500mm, with layer thickness ranging from 0.10 to 1.00mm. Compatible materials include furan binder with silica sand, with CeraBeads and silicon carbide available as options.

“Most of the world's foundries are small operations, many with fewer than 100 employees,” said Aldo Randazzo, Director Application Management & ODP Administration, ExOne. “They are the backbone of the manufacturing industry, yet industrial binder jetting has rarely been built for their scale or budget. We aim to close that gap with the new S-Print Pro.”

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, starting with beta partners and early production slot reservations.
