ExOne, one of the pioneers in the binder jetting AM segment, revealed that the ExOne hardware installed base has reached 295 systems worldwide. Of these, the majority – 160 units – are sand 3D printers, used for molds and casts (but also for some final parts) while the rest – 135 – units are metal 3D printers, also used mainly for prototypes but now moving increasingly into high-throughput production.

The metal range includes:

Innovent+
The Innovent+® metal 3D printer is a multi-purpose additive platform that has a smaller footprint and is ideally suited to support training and testing or printing methods on a smaller scale in universities, laboratories, and other research and development environments. As a 3D printer that prints high-resolution metal with increased dust control, it offers the most advanced powder dispensing on the market.

Maximum Build Rate 166 cc/hr; 10 in³/hr
Layer Height 30-200 μm

X1 25Pro
The latest innovation in metal 3D binder jet printing from ExOne, the X1 25Pro enables users to print with a diverse range of MIM powders at an increased production volume. The X1 25Pro is a scale-up from the Innovent+ and includes ExOne’s latest recoating technology.

Build Box 400 x 250 x 250 mm (15.75 x 9.84 x 9.84 in) Variable Z depth available
Maximum Build Rate 3,600 cc/hr; 220 in³/hr
Layer Height 30-200 μm

M-Flex
The M-Flex is a 3D printer that can print metal prototypes or short runs of multiple and/or custom parts, and includes the printer, recycling equipment, print material and curing oven in the package. The touchscreen user interface simplifies operations, and high throughput supports industrial-grade scale.

The S-Print

S-Print
The S-Print 3D core and sand mold system combines a compact structure with an extremely versatile range of applications. With the flexibility to select any binder system available at ExOne, S-Print sand molds can be made to accommodate a variety of casting materials for rapid product development and short-run production.

Build Box 800 × 500 × 400 mm
Build Volume 160 L
Max Build Rate 39 l/h
Layer Height 0.26 – 0.38 mm

S-MAX Pro
The S-Max Pro covers the full range of 3D sand printing from prototyping to serial production and is able to process all ExOne binder systems. It is available as a stand-alone solution but is also scalable and can be connected by a network that creates a fully automated production line, to realize the industrial serial production in 3D sand printing.

Build Box 1.800 X 1.000 X 700 mm/400H*
Build Volume 1260 L
Max Build Rate up to 125* l/h (depending on job box utilization, sand type, layer height, resolution & environmental conditions)
Layer Height 0.26 – 0.38 mm

S-Max
The S-Max 3D core and sand mold system is ideally suited for sand casting foundries, creates complex sand cores and molds directly from 3D CAD data, eliminating the need of a physical pattern to create a core or mold. The ability to cast in hours without hard tooling improves the entire casting process chain.

Build Box 1.800 × 1.000 × 700 mm
Build Volume 1260 L
Max Build Rate up to 100 l/h (depending on job box utilization, sand type, layer height, resolution & environmental conditions)
