EVOK3D to supply HP MJF 3D printers to Australian Defence Science and Technology Group

EVOK3D, a supplier of 3D printing solutions in Australia, has been granted a public tender to supply three HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200 3D printers to the Australian Defence Science and Technology Group (DST), as well as automated post-processing equipment.

DST will leverage the three 3D printing systems to produce end-use parts, tooling components, design verification models and prototypes. The production capacity of HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 4200 3D printers will also enable the group to pursue on-demand, localized production of critical parts if the need arises (for instance, if a traditional supply chain is disrupted). DST believes additive manufacturing will play a key role in improving the agility of Australia’s manufacturing landscape.

EVOK3D was founded in eight years ago in Australia and has become an important supplier of additive manufacturing solutions within the country. In fact, the company has supplied AM machines and services to Australia’s Department of Defence for several years, as well as to Australian motor racing teams Triple Eight Race Engineering and the Redbull Holden Racing Team. The company is also a Currie Group company and is HP’s 3D printing distribution partner for Australia and New Zealand, serving the defense, transport, healthcare, industrial, consumer goods, education and entertainment sectors.
