EPlus3D separates from SHINING 3D to sell its own AM systems
The two companies made a joint declaration on September 10th, 2021, in Hangzhou, China.
As a former subsidiary of SHINING 3D (Shining3D), EPlus3D (EPLUS 3D) is the original developer and manufacturer of SHINING 3D industrial AM systems, including both Metal and Plastic PBF 3D printers. According to an official joint declaration released today, detailing both companies’ development strategy, Eplus3D has become an independent company and is no longer a subsidiary of SHINING 3D. EPLUS 3D will provide industrial AM machines solutions and after-sales service directly to customers globally.
EPuls3D will now continue to establish itself as an independent brand worldwide, including via its own overseas offices. Investments in research & development, marketing, sales and aftersales as well as the new production facility in Hangzhou, China, will help EPLUS 3D follow its mission to further industrialize AM to transform todays’ industry. With this structural change, both companies will grow together to accelerate the worldwide development and promotion of 3D printing and of the 3D digitizing industry.
Curiously, in a time period where Western companies merge and conduct acquisitions (see Stratasys, 3D Systems and Desktop Metal), the two Chinese companies a separating in order to more proficiently address western markets. Something similar has recently taken place with Prodways and Farsoon, when Farsoon, a provider of SLS systems for France-based Prodways to market in Western markets, ended the distribution agreement and became a fully independent company.
