# Rosswag Engineering launches program to build validated metal AM ecosystem

[Eplus3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/eplus3d/), [Rosswag Engineering](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/addimap/), and [qualloy](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/qualloy/) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly advance metal additive manufacturing and its associated supply chains by combining machine technology, materials supply, and application expertise within a single validated framework.

As part of the agreement, Rosswag Engineering will invest in an Eplus3D EP-M550 multi-laser powder bed fusion system, featuring an 8-laser configuration and a build envelope of 550 × 550 × 450 mm. 

The machine will be installed at Rosswag's new additive manufacturing facility, which is currently under construction – it is expected to be operational from June 2026 and will be made available for customer-specific testing, validation, and application development.

## Qualified powders and an integrated supply chain

Central to the collaboration is a material qualification program in which qualloy metal powders, developed specifically for [Eplus3D systems](https://www.voxelmatters.com/eplus3d-advances-large-scale-copper-3d-printing/), will be qualified at the company's Innovation Center in Korntal-Münchingen, Germany. 

Upon qualification, these materials — with validated process parameters and powder specifications — will be made available to European Eplus3D customers through the qualloy online shop. [qualloy will serve as supply chain facilitator, while Rosswag will apply its testing and qualification expertise](https://www.voxelmatters.com/qualloy-secures-funding-from-rosswag-engineering/) to components produced on Eplus3D equipment.

“By combining our large-scale, industrial LPBF systems with Rosswag's application expertise and qualloy's material excellence, we are creating a fully integrated ecosystem that significantly lowers the barrier for true serial additive manufacturing,” said Enis Jost, Deputy General Manager of Eplus3D.

## From prototyping toward serial production

**“**The EP-M550 combines a compact machine design with very high productivity and a large build envelope. This is an important step toward larger and functionally optimized LPBF components,” said Dr.-Ing. Sven Donisi, CEO of Rosswag. “It allows us to begin closing the gap between today's additively manufactured parts and complex, large-scale forged and machined components.

The companies will all be present at Rapid.Tech3D in Erfurt, Germany, at the start of May, to present the project.
