EOS levels up AMGTA membership and takes up board position
The company’s longstanding membership of the sustainability organization steps up to highest engagement level – EOS Head of Sustainability, Björn Hannappel, joins board of directors
EOS, a leading industrial 3D printing solutions provider, has been made a principal member of the Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA). It represents the highest level of engagement with the organization and is recognition of EOS’s commitment to advancing sustainable and resilient manufacturing practices globally, through its sustained leadership and strategic alignment with AMGTA.
EOS has had a longstanding participation in AMGTA, which aims to improve environmental, economic, and resource-efficient outcomes in AM. EOS has long been an industry leader in responsible manufacturing, and last year introduced its 100% recycled Aluminium AlSi10Mg.
The company also recently set science-based targets to hit net-zero by 2045, with an aim of making significant CO2 emission reductions by 2030.
As part of EOS’ expanded leadership role, its Head of Sustainability, Björn Hannappel, has joined the AMGTA Board of Directors. Hannappel will help lead EOS’ increased participation in shaping AMGTA’s strategic direction, governance, and industry collaboration initiatives.

“The decision to deepen our engagement with AMGTA aligns closely with EOS’s commitment to responsible innovation and sustainable industrial transformation,” explained Hannappel, who leads ESG initiatives at EOS. He took up his duties on the AMGTA board at the start of January.
“Additive manufacturing is already reshaping how products are designed, produced, and delivered,” he added. “Collaboration across the ecosystem is essential to realizing its full environmental and economic potential.”
