EOS GmbH, a Germany-based leader in industrial additive manufacturing, has announced the appointment of a new CEO, Marie Langer, the daughter of EOS founder CEO Dr. Hans J. Langer. The change in leadership is part of the company’s management restructuring plan, which aims to underscore the Langers’ commitment to the company and its technologies while positioning the company for continued growth and evolution.
In her new role as CEO, Marie Langer will lead the German additive manufacturing company forward with a focus on strategy, marketing, communications, corporate culture and organizational and people development. Importantly, she will also lead the company towards a more sustainable future.
“30 years of personal commitment at all levels and our shared culture have made us into the highly successful company we are today,” said Langer about her new position. “We have successfully harnessed the pioneering spirit of the early years and combined it with the expertise of a global market leader.
“From both a technological and an organizational perspective, EOS is optimally positioned for a successful future. My vision is that EOS stays at the cutting edge of industrial 3D printing technology and that the company makes a sustainable contribution towards solving the huge challenges facing us today. We want our technology to do more than [drive] economic growth. We want it to provide positive environmental and social benefits.”
CTO and CCOO step down
In addition to appointing Marie Langer as CEO, EOS has also announced the departure of its former CTO Dr. Tobias Abeln and CCOO Bertrand Humel van der Lee. Both are stepping down by mutual consent.

Management board
Dr. Adrian Keppler, who served as CEO from June 2017 until now, will be taking on the role of Managing Director, emphasizing the importance of developing strategic customer and partner relationships and will oversee the close collaboration between EOS subsidiaries and the EOS Ecosystem.
EOS Managing Director Eric Paffrath will continue to oversee and coordinate EOS GmbH’s commercial activities. Paffrath will he in charge of Finance, Business Administration and Information Technology divisions at the company as well as other commercial areas.
