Additive Minds, the consulting unit of EOS, the technology leader in the industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers worldwide, has won the “TOP CONSULTANT 2017” award. Since 2010, this seal of quality has been awarded to the best consultants for Germany’s small and medium-sized enterprises, who have displayed a high degree of professionalism, constantly provided excellent services and achieved an outstanding level of customer satisfaction. On June 23, during the festive award presentation at the 4th German SME Summit in Essen, TOP CONSULTANT mentor and former President of Germany Christian Wulff presented the award to Güngör Kara, Director of Global Application & Consulting at EOS.

“We are extremely happy to receive this award, which is resounding affirmation of the experiences we have made in recent years and the great number of highly satisfied customers we have had. Intensive, competent consulting services remain essential in our still relatively young market for industrial 3D printing, as they enable customers to make the right decisions, reduce barriers to taking up this highly innovative technology and, in the end, ensures its effective, cost-optimized use.” said Güngör Kara of EOS.

EOS successfully completed the scientifically substantiated customer survey that compares consultants and fully convinced the jury of its expertise. The project was headed up by Professor Dietmar Fink and Bianka Knoblach, who jointly manage the Scientific Society for Management and Consulting (WGMB) in Bonn/Germany. On behalf of compamedia, WGMB surveys reference customers of the participating consultancy companies and evaluates the results in conjunction with further company data. The TOP CONSULTANT seal of quality is only awarded if a consulting company achieves either a good or a very good result across all fields.

“Innovative parts and business models are not simply created by purchasing a system and hitting the start button. Once a company has decided to begin using this disruptive technology, it needs to radically rethink its entire value chain. We support our customers wherever they need us – whether in the selection and optimization of parts, knowledge development, or the implementation of our technology in production.” added Mr. Kara.

With its broad spectrum of applications, industrial 3D printing is a key technology driving the digital manufacturing processes of the future. Additive Minds, the consultancy unit of EOS, is specialized in transformation through industrial 3D printing and helps companies make full use of the potential this technology has to offer.

Additive Minds assists its customers in acquiring the know-how needed to exploit this technology, covering all aspects of 3D printing. It supports them to keep their investment risk to a minimum and allows them to gain key competitive advantages. At the same time, Additive Minds guides customers in identifying and enhancing suitable applications, in establishing an AM-based production and guaranteeing sustainable, reproducible product quality. This firm basis enables customers to fully leverage the benefits of this future-oriented technology and develop a significantly improved production.
