# Elementum 3D appoints Andrew Crickenberger as CEO

[Elementum 3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/elementum3d/) has appointed Andrew Crickenberger as chief executive officer, succeeding Dr. Jacob Nuechterlein, who founded the Colorado-based metal additive manufacturing powder feedstock supplier and has moved into the chief strategy officer role.

## Three decades in aerospace and defense

Crickenberger comes to the role after more than 30 years across aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing. He most recently served as chief growth officer at NIOA Group, and before that as vice president of strategy for the $2.5 billion Aerojet Rocketdyne segment of [L3Harris Technologies, sitting on the leadership team that closed its $4.7 billion acquisition of the business](https://www.voxelmatters.com/l3harris-closes-1-billion-department-of-war-investment-in-missile-solutions-business/). He spent 25 years at Northrop Grumman earlier in his career.

## Founder moves to the strategy role

“As Elementum 3D enters its next phase of growth, I'm confident Andrew's leadership experience and strategic vision make him the ideal person to guide the company forward,” said Nuechterlein, who will continue as executive chairman.

“Transitioning into the role of Chief Strategy Officer will allow me to focus on advancing our long-term technology roadmap. I'm incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished, and excited to see what we will achieve together under Andrew's leadership.”

Elementum confirmed the two will work together over the coming weeks as part of the company's long-term succession plan.
