Edge Total Intelligence secures $1.2m in Austal USA contracts for US Navy AM platform
edgeCore digital twin selected as integration layer for Digital SEA, the Navy's secure AM data exchange platform
Edge Total Intelligence Inc. (edgeTI) has secured $1.2 million in contracts with Austal USA to provide system integration and data brokerage services for Digital Secure Exchange for Additive Platform (Digital SEA), a secure additive manufacturing marketplace developed for the US Navy.
The work marks edgeTI’s edgeCore digital twin solution’s first application inside the US Navy’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE), located in Danville, Virginia, and operated by Austal USA.
Digital SEA, developed by Austal USA, is a cloud-based platform designed to allow the Navy, original equipment manufacturers, shipbuilders, and certified AM suppliers to share sensitive part specifications, track components from design through production, and bring non-traditional defense suppliers into the submarine and maritime industrial base.
The AM CoE supports production methods including LPBF and WAAM, with Digital SEA providing the connective element between printed hardware and Navy inventory and quality management systems.
edgeCore as an integration and data brokerage layer
Under the contracts, edgeCore will function as a Single Point of Control (SPoC), consolidating fragmented systems, data, users, and workflows into a unified real-time interface for Digital SEA users — including part buyers, suppliers, and program administrators.

“As that ecosystem grows, the ability to seamlessly connect data, systems, workflows, and stakeholders becomes increasingly important. We’ve positioned edgeTI’s edgeCore platform to serve as the integration and data brokerage layer that enables Digital SEA to securely exchange information across multiple systems while providing users with greater visibility into production, qualification, supply chain, and operational activities.

Growing defense revenue
The Austal USA award builds on edgeTI’s broader defense momentum. Following a July 2025 partnership with Austal Australia and the January 2026 acquisition of Austal’s advanced digital technology assets, edgeTI’s Western Australia unit recorded approximately A$3.96m (US $2.8m) in Australian defense contracts — work the company stated is expected to be completed and billed within the current year.
Revenue for Q1 2026 reached just under $1.7m, a 121% increase year-over-year, though expenses also rose 64% to $2.9m over the same period.
