Dyndrite launches Additive Manufacturing Toolkit, forms new partnerships

AM software developer Dyndrite Corporation has unveiled its Additive Manufacturing Toolkit (AMT) and accelerated production preparation build processor for 3D printing, which has the potential to improve performance and native CAD-to-print capabilities for AM users. In addition to presenting the software solution at Formnext, the company has announced a series of industry partnerships with EOS, Renishaw and others.

Dyndrite, which came out of stealth mode in Spring 2019, has developed the first GPU-powered geometry kernel for additive manufacturing. The software, built on the company’s Accelerated Computation Engine (ACE), includes such features as native CAD file import and an integrated Python application programming interface (API) for customized scripting of automated workflows.

The ACE geometry kernel and AMT build processor were built using a “First Principles” approach, with Dyndrite relying on modern methodologies and technologies to meet the needs of production oriented customers in aerospace, medical, automotive, energy and the service bureau markets. The software’s unique capabilities enable users to manage terabytes of manufacturing data, print highly complex geometries like splines, and adjust parts in-situ to increase throughput and quality.

The software’s architecture is described by Dyndrite as a “horizontal, scalable solution” that can enable customers to integrate a range of tools, such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), topology optimization, simulation and other print preparation solutions.

“The Dyndrite Accelerated Computation Engine is a genuine paradigm shift and promises to do for 3D printing what Adobe and PostScript did for 2D printing in the 1980s,” said Harshil Goel, Founder and CEO of Dyndrite. “2D printing technology went from low-quality bitmaps to smooth splines, something that was only possible thanks to PostScript. We intend to set off a similar revolution—3D printers powered by the Dyndrite ACE will totally reshape the productivity of design and manufacturing as we have known them.”
Dyndrite’s ACE and AMT programs are available in a couple of ways: independent software vendors (ISVs) and OEMs can white label them; or Dyndrite works with OEMs directly to optimize the software to the end user’s printer hardware.

EOS partnership

At Formnext, Dyndrite revealed a working relationship with AM solutions provider EOS focused on the latter’s DMLS machines. Through the alliance, Dyndrite’s AM build processor will become available to EOS’ DMLS customers.

We are excited to support Dyndrite in making their powerful build processor available to EOS customers.”

Renishaw partnership

The software development company has also teamed up with Renishaw to integrate Dyndrite AMT into Renishaw’s QuantAM build processor. The AMT will enable QuantAM users to streamline CAD-to-Print workflows, accelerate slicing, build and file preparation using Renishaw’s tools, handle and process larger files, speed up lattice and lightweighting and more. QuantAM users will also be able to benefit from AMT’s python application programming interface and workflow customization.

Last but not least, Dyndrite has announced the addition of five new companies to the Dyndrite Developer Council, which aims to evolve industry standards and to facilitate customer experiences with cross-leveraged tools. The group, which welcomes 3D Systems, ANSYS, Altair Engineering, ExOne and SLM Solutions, now consists of 15 members.
