DyeMansion launches Black Diamond Finishing Hub service
Service offers rapid turnaround for powder bed 3D prints made from PA 11 and PA 12
DyeMansion, a German company specializing in post-processing solutions for polymer 3D prints, is increasing access to its technologies with the Black Diamond Finishing Hub. The new offering is essentially an accessible online platform for DyeMansion post-processing services, comprising its vapor smoothing, blasting and coloring processes.
With the new Black Diamond Finishing Hub, DyeMansion promises post-processing within just two days for powder bed 3D prints made from PA 11 and PA 12 materials (to start). In the interest of making its post-processing service available to as many users as possible, DyeMansion has decided that there will be no minimum order value for the Black Diamond service platform and it will process parts made on any polymer powder bed machine.
Among the services offered are DyeMansion’s Vaporfuse Surfacing solution, a chemical vapor smoothing process that gives 3D prints a smooth finish comparable to injection molding parts; Polyshot Surfacing, a mechanical blasting technology that results in a scratch-resistant, semi-gloss finish; and its DM60 Black machine which uses DeepDye Coloring technology to give parts a professional black finish.
The new service offering for SLS post-processing will initially be undertaken at DyeMansion’s existing facilities in Munich, Germany and Austin, Texas. However, the company revealed its plans to introduce a global production partner network within the year to accelerate turnaround times for part finishing for clients around the globe.
