Desktop Metal is introducing PureSinter, a high-purity vacuum furnace that delivers exceptional debind-and-sinter performance at an affordable price. Developed over five years, PureSinter completely reimagines furnace design to overcome the challenges associated with traditional furnaces. The innovative design of the  PureSinter furnace features a tightly sealed, hot-walled vacuum retort, ensuring a clean processing environment while keeping acquisition and operational costs low.

With its airtight seal and efficient cooling system, PureSinter significantly reduces operating costs compared to state-of-the-art furnaces. It is designed as a comprehensive industry solution, not just for sinter-based additive manufacturing, but also for powder metallurgy (PM), metal injection molding (MIM), and other sectors that can benefit from a compact, high-purity vacuum furnace.

In addition, the new PureSinter furnace from Desktop Metal prioritizes ease of use to ensure successful sintering for a wide range of users and applications. Traditional industrial furnaces are expensive to acquire, operate, and maintain, and their lack of efficiency leads to long processing times and high operational costs.

The vertical furnace design eliminates the need for doors or internal boxes to close and seal. All vertical operations can be easily controlled using two-hand control buttons for added safety. The furnace features a modern touchscreen interface with pre-programmed parameters for Desktop Metal 3D printer materials.

PureSinter also comes with Live Sinter simulation software, which enables the creation of design files for geometries that can be pressed, molded, or 3D printed and sintered to perfection. The system aims to revolutionize sintered powder metal applications by offering the ability to process various metals and binders. This material flexibility makes the furnace suitable for a diverse range of industries, including PM, MIM, and other sectors that can benefit from a high-purity vacuum furnace.
