# AM for Sustainability AM Focus 2024 eBook

In this eBook, we hope to emphasize the diversity of sustainability within the AM industry, looking at a range of topics and perspectives, from the role of AM in clean energy generation to the use of the technology for coral reef restoration. Our Sustainability AM Focus eBook 2024 kicks off with an analysis of metal and polymer 3D printing technologies in clean power generation, with insights from VoxelMatters Research. From there we look at how a strong digital thread at the foundation of AM workflows, such as that offered by [Materialise](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/materialise/), can significantly improve the efficiency and sustainability of AM production. Next are two exclusive interviews: the first with Josine Beets from [Coastruction](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/coastruction/), a startup that has developed its own 3D printing technology for artificial coral reefs; and the second with [Airtech’s](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/airtech/) Director of AM Gregory Haye.

We then turn back to the energy sector with a look at how [NANO Nuclear](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/nano-nuclear/) is harnessing AM. Following that is an insightful piece by journalist Michael Nash on how automotive designers are increasingly turning to AM to meet sustainability goals. We then take a look at [Continuum Powders’](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/molyworks/) brand new reclaimed powder production facility in Houston, TX, before concluding with research from LLNL on the use of AM for clean fusion energy. It’s a big edition that you don’t want to miss!
