David Kalinske appointed as VulcanForms’ VP and GM of Aerospace and Defense
Previously, he held leaders roles for Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs, served as Chief Revenue Officer for Morpheus Space, and served as a senior White House aide to Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama
VulcanForms, an MIT-born company that builds and operates advanced digital manufacturing infrastructure, has appointed David Kalinske as Vice President and General Manager of Aerospace and Defense.
Kalinske is an industry leader and has held several executive roles in government services, manufacturing, commercial space, and defense companies. Most recently, he was President of TDX Government Services Group, which is comprised of companies that are industry leaders in power systems engineering, aerospace operations, and sustainment. Kalinske also held leadership roles for Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs, and served as Chief Revenue Officer for Morpheus Space.
Kalinske retired from the Marine Corps in 2014 after graduating from TopGun and serving as a weapons-school instructor and fighter-squadron commanding officer. He was also a National Security Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Additionally, he was a recipient of the Defense Superior Service Medal for superior meritorious service in a position of significant national responsibility for his work as a senior White House aide to Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

After announcing the launch of its first two digital production facilities in July 2022, VulcanForms has been working to more than quadruple its production throughput at VulcanOne, the world’s highest throughput laser metal additive foundry. The Devens, Mass. additive foundry is powered by a fleet of VulcanForms’ 100-kilowatt class laser printing systems. The Newburyport, Mass. facility, focused on automated precision machining and assembly operations, expects to double its production capacity while tripling its throughput within the next 12 months. With a combination of additive manufacturing, subtractive manufacturing, digital engineering, post-processing, assembly, and inspection services, VulcanForms enables customers to accelerate product innovation and realization at unprecedented speed and scale.
