# Curiteva to double Inspire manufacturing capacity and build new Innovation Center

[Curiteva, Inc., a spinal implant technology company](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/curiteva/), will double production capacity for its Inspire implant line, and is also set to construct a 45,000 sq ft Innovation Center at its Huntsville, Alabama site.

Inspire, which Curiteva describes as [the world's first 3D printed trabecular PEEK (polyether ether ketone) implant](https://www.voxelmatters.com/curiteva-treats-5000-levels-with-3d-printed-trabecular-peek/), is manufactured using a Fused Strand Deposition process that has received an FDA Master File designation, and the implants recently received FDA Nano Designation.

Curiteva stated the Inspire Technology Platform was seeing strong demand in the spine market, with growing interest across orthopedic segments and clinical applications, and that it would address manufacturing capacity within its existing facility before the Innovation Center opens.

“We are implementing a plan to address future manufacturing capacity by doubling our Inspire manufacturing capabilities in our current facility,” said Bill Voss, Chief Operations Officer at Curiteva.

## Innovation Center to house surgical training and prototyping labs

The planned Innovation Center – with a target for breaking ground in late 2027 – will be located adjacent to Curiteva's existing implant production facility, which currently produces 100% of its implants.

The new building will include a surgical training lab, a teaching auditorium, and a rapid prototyping and product testing lab. Curiteva says the proximity of the two facilities is intended to bring key opinion leaders, quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams into a single location.
