# Continuum Powders’ OptiPowder Ni718 enabled for US production readiness

INDO-MIM Inc. has qualified [Continuum Powders’ ](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/molyworks/)OptiPowder Ni718 for production on HP Metal Jet binder jet systems, making the high-performance nickel alloy powder ready for advanced applications, including defense and suppressor components.

Optimized for LPBF and compatible with EBM and binder jetting workflows, the qualification enables US-based customers access to repeatable, scalable production.

[INDO-MIM, a metal injection molding and additive manufacturing service provider](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/indo-mim/), will utilize its manufacturing infrastructure and application expertise to support US-based production of a range of components using Ni718.

Continuum produces its [OptiPowder range](https://www.voxelmatters.com/continuum-releases-new-high-conductivity-cuni-70-30-powders/) using its proprietary M2P Gas Atomization System, an advanced plasma-based process that transforms reclaimed metal revert streams into high-quality spherical powder in a single step.

The result is a precipitation-hardened superalloy that provides sustained high-temperature strength, stress-rupture resistance, cryogenic stability, and oxidation resistance, ideal for applications across industries such as aerospace, power generation, automotive, oil & gas, and emerging energy systems. [In recent benchmark tests, it produced sintered components with density levels exceeding 98% of theoretical](https://www.voxelmatters.com/continuum-powders-and-indo-mim-qualify-ni718-for-binder-jet-production/).

“INDO-MIM’s qualification of OptiPowder Ni718 on HP Metal Jet systems is exactly the kind of production-forward validation the market needs,” stated Rob Higby, CEO of Continuum Powders. “It reinforces that customers can access a proven manufacturing partner in the U.S. and a dependable Ni718 powder supply — while also benefiting from Continuum’s reclaimed materials approach and quality framework.”

“This is about readiness and customer access,” added Jag Holla, Senior Vice President of Marketing, INDO-MIM. “With this qualification, INDO-MIM is prepared to support customers looking to move quickly into production on HP Metal Jet — particularly for components that demand Ni718 performance and consistent, repeatable manufacturing.”
