# Circdal brings advanced 3D printing techniques to architectural design

A newly-launched US-based company is creating what it calls “modern architectural systems through advanced 3D printing techniques, engineered for fully circular design”, transforming digital design files directly into ready-for-use surfaces with a contemporary aesthetic and a sustainable spirit.

Circdal, operating out of Chesterfield, Missouri has developed a process that uses [rPETG WF – a blend of 97% recycled PETG plastic and reclaimed wood fibers](https://www.voxelmatters.com/forward-am-launches-new-line-of-ultrafuse-pellets/) – which is pelletized in-house by [Printerior, its parent company](https://www.voxelmatters.com/printerior-launches-lfam-services-for-the-architectural-market/). The compound provides the strength and precision necessary for the circular reuse that is the new company’s signature.

The digital model of each design is translated into reality directly from CAD using [large-format robotic 3D printing](https://www.voxelmatters.com/upm-demonstrates-large-scale-robotic-3d-printing-of-wood-based-polymer-composites/), which ensures accuracy and design freedom and negates the need for molds and eliminates waste.

The company claims that each of its products is 100% recyclable and can be reclaimed, reprocessed and reprinted as part of its circular design service. Customers can return panels or screens that are no longer wanted directly to the company, who’ll then work them into new designs for reprinting.

“What began as an exploration into circular materials and advanced manufacturing has grown into a new company within Printerior,” stated Trenton Esser, co-founder of Printerior.

Circdal’s product ranges include screens, wall panels and hanging structures, all fully customizable in terms of size, shape, design and color. It offers 25 signature colors, with specific color-matching for bespoke projects.

Parent company Printerior was established in 2020, and produces high-volume, automated 3D printed products using customized sustainable materials and its proprietary large-format 3D printing robots.
