Chromalloy installs first SLM®280 systems from SLM Solutions

Chromalloy, a global aviation and energy technology company, has chosen SLM Solutions as its metal additive manufacturing partner and has acquired its first SLM machine, the SLM®280. With previous experience in metal-based additive manufacturing, Chromalloy will now utilize SLM Solutions’ reliable and open-architecture technology to develop high-quality metal parts, focusing on its proprietary LifeX products and services that lower the cost and duration of engine overhauls while maintaining the high safety and quality standards demanded by customers and the industry.

Chromalloy provides the aviation and energy industries with a broad range of aftermarket solutions and ranks as the leading independent supplier of proprietary parts and advanced components for jet engines and gas turbines.
