The second annual AM Ceramics will take place September 11th to 12th 2017 at the Falkensteiner Hotel Vienna. With regard to the high number of international experts attending, the event will be held in English.

The two-day event presents strategies for successful integration of additive manufacturing of ceramics into production processes. Renowned speakers from well established companies like Morgan Advanced Materials, Safran Tech, Johnson Matthey and many more provide their first-hand experience from successfully applied AM applications.

In addition, an overview into current research and development trends will be exhibited. Ceramic additive manufacturing has the potential to radically change the industry. Available additive manufacturing systems for ceramics have already reached an advanced level. They present a supplement or a tangible alternative to conventional manufacturing methods.

The event is promoted by DKG, the German Ceramic Society and also DKG Szene Additiv, which is the DKG’s initiative focusing specifically on ceramics additive manufacturing. The association works as a network for research facilities and industry and their employees, are the information center, advise and support. It also organizes training events, and can provide contact persons for questions concerning additive production from a technological and material point of view. In addition it also organizes the exchange of information on legal and design issues and provides information on events and funding initiatives at national and international level.

The DKG was founded in 1919 as a professional organization for ceramics and as a technical-scientific association. Its predecessor organization came into being already in 1913 as an independent technical-scientific department inside the Association of Ceramic Discipline (VKG). The DKG is today the largest and most representative ceramic society in Europe, bringing together 650 personal and more than 250 legal members.
