Nanoe, the French company behind Zetamix product line for ceramic 3D printing, is opening a new facility dedicated to 3D printing. The facility will support the company’s mission for the next years: to double its production volume to keep up with increasing demand for its ceramic and metal 3D printing materials. To this end, the company’s facility will not only include a material production facility but also a demonstration center for clients and a printing farm.

The new facility is backed by a €2 million investment from Nanoe as well as support from the France Relance recovery plan. “We have a large investment plan: we are working toward acquiring a second factory dedicated to 3D printing as well as a production center to manufacture demo parts, parts for our customers and for specific applications,” says Guillaume de Calan, CEO of Nanoe. “This government support plan allows us to make in one year the investment planned in two or three years.” Nanoe 3D printing facility

The new facility and production capability will enable Nanoe to increase its output of Zetamix products, which comprise ceramic and metal filaments compatible with most FDM platforms. The unique material products were developed for a simple reason: to make ceramic and metal additive manufacturing more accessible and, ultimately, mainstream.

On a commercial level, Nanoe is also pushing this goal ahead by establishing a strong added value reseller network. Each partner in this network has been equipped and trained to provide demonstrations to customers as well as train end users. In the past year, Nanoe has increased its reseller group from five to 25 and it intends to bring on 25 more partners in 2022. “Our partners around the globe are a key aspect of Zetamix strategy,” adds De Calan. “Thanks to their fine knowledge of their respective market and the training we provide, they are able to promote the technology in their countries.”

Nanoe doesn’t only develop and manufacture ceramic and metal filaments through its Zetamix product line, it also offers a 3D printing package consisting of a 3D printer, a debinding kit and an oven. As the company explains, “the three stages of the process have been designed for being easy and fast to grasp which in turn induces low investment costs due to the time gain.”

In 2021, Nanoe installed more than 50 Zetamix systems, for a total of over 100 since 2018. These figures, according to the company, make it the leading brand in terms of installed machines for technical ceramic 3D printing. It should be noted that Nanoe’s materials are open and can be used on most FDM machines. Debinding and sintering can also be achieved with most standard systems.
